The Jones Beach Series…

Jones Beach is a very special place for me for many reasons. I have chosen this wonderful place for my latest series of drawings. I go there often at odd times like early mornings or when it snows. My camera is almost always with me. These photos are the source for these drawings. The original camera file is sometimes adjusted in Photoshop by me to make a good sharp easy to see print. I then go to Staples in Plainview and have a ordinary color print or 2 made to work from. I do use the computer to view the pic as well and zoom in for detail work. Above is number 3 in the series and is shown as it was about a week ago. While I normally do not show a drawing before it is done, I wanted to document the process of what I do. I use a standard weight drawing paper which makes anything more than a very basic tracing possible, if possible. Then it is up to me and my pencils to go to work. These originals are all hand drawn with no computer or digital modifications. I use tried and true classic drawing methods and the pencils are my friends it seems. I am also trained in Architectural Drafting and Mechanical Drawing, so a lot of that comes through. I know my way around a Triangle. LOL. My initial plan is to do 6 illustrations from my Jones Beach photos and then make prints to sell. As an experienced print maker and digital artist, I can assure you that these prints will be of the highest quality. You can see the beginnings (and buy a few items, hint, hint…) of this new effort at here at MarblesMahoney.com. Being a Web Designer gives me the skills to promote my Art & Music. This new Blog is part of a new online push to do just that. Thanx for the likes & compliments & I thank you for your support. Now, I have to get back to work on a website for a Lawyer. LOL. Carry On… @ngelo
